How To Apply UltraGel
So you're new to UltraGel and Polygel? Here's LUMII's ultimate guide for applying your UltraGel nails at home.

...and that's it! Let's get into how to apply LUMII UltraGel Nails and start saving £££'s on your manicures!
STEP ONE
Prepare your nails by trimming them to the length you'd like, removing and tidying up your cuticles and gently buffing the surface of your nail to remove any oily residue.
STEP TWO
Apply Base Coat to your prepared nail. While this step is definitely optional - using our PowerGel Ultra-Grip Nail Base Coat will increase the longevity of your UltraGel Nails and mean they'll stay put for up to three weeks!
STEP THREE
Here comes the experimental bit!
First up, choose a Nail Form that correctly fits the nail you're working on. A correct fit means that the form doesn't go over the edges of your nail, onto your skin.
Squeeze out a bead of UltraGel from the tube - we recommend around the size of a coffee bean but this very much depends on how long you'd like your nails to be. Squeeze the bead of UltraGel onto the Nail Form, starting at the wide end of the Form (the cuticle end!).
Grab your Nail Tool and dip it into your Nail Slip Solution. Spread the UltraGel out slightly - you can experiment with how much and find the right way for you.
TIP: If you're a newbie, start with less UltraGel and build up from there.
STEP FOUR
Take your Nail Form and press it onto your nail gently. Start at the cuticle end and spread the UltraGel away from this end, allowing it to spread evenly across your nail bed.
Next up, you're going to want to apply your Nail Clip, right over the nail bed to keep the Nail Form in place. Flip your hand over and use your Nail Tool, dipped in a little Slip Solution to smooth out the underside of your nail and tidy things up.
Next, put your finger (with the Nail Clip still on) under the UV light for at least 90s (ideally 120s).
STEP FIVE
Use your Nail File to shape up your nail - adjust the length and smooth out any edges. You can buff over the top of your nail too if you need to - it'll take the shine off but we'll get that back in step six!
STEP SIX
The final step is to apply the PowerGel Ultra-Shine Top Coat. If you buffed over your nails, this will bring back the ultimate shine! Plus, it really helps with the longevity of your UltraGel nails - helping them to last up to three weeks!
